Job Summary
Production machine operator will safely control various machines and equipment involved in preparing steel wire for manufacturing per our customers’ specifications.
Pay $17.50/hr
Shift Premium Shift 2nd Shift - 3PM - 11PM
*Alternating Mandatory Weekends*
Job Duties
Operate machinery in accordance with prints and specs.
Process the required quantity of coils within established specifications and tolerances.
Measure & visually inspect finished parts with precision tools, ensure compliance with function, quality & cosmetic specifications.
Maintain logs and records of units produced including a record or errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment.
Perform basic maintenance and routine adjustments.
Monitor and react to safety alarms.
Operate HiLo and Overhead Crane (In House Certification Provided).
Requisite Skills
Ability to follow written directions.
Work well in a team.
Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Must score 60% or higher on a Bennett Mechanical Test.
