Our Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of the parts
produced and overall quality processes meet all customer expectations. In the
event there are non-conformances this role will quickly and effectively take necessary
actions to identify root-cause analysis and partner with engineering and operations to
resolve. Has the authority to stop the line or shipments but must lead resolution and
recovery.
 
Responsibilities
 Drive ABS QMS compliance processes by focusing on the APQP deliverables for
all new product development processes. 
 Co-work with engineering & supply base to create an efficient manufacturing
assembly line, specifying and/or refining BOMs, workflow processes, and
detailed NPI work instructions. 
 Provide technical support analyzing and/or performing failure analysis for
discrepant production components, assemblies, and field returns. Apply
appropriate use of statistical techniques. 
 Lead/participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on material cost
reduction, capacity enhancement, and streamlining of the supply chain. 
 Able to gain the commitment of both internal departments and supplier
organization to remedy non-conforming practices while maintaining positive and
productive working relationships.
 Read, understand, and verify bills of material (BOMs), assembly drawings,
engineering tolerances, and other technical information.
 Manages Changes & Deviations (product, process, supplier, documentation). 
 Develop, collect, and report leading metrics of internal and supplier performance
to cross-functional management. 
 Develop and lead internal process improvements by utilizing compliance audits
for the product, process, systems and other functional standards ( i.e., UL 2271,
ISO 26262, IATF 16949.) 
 Support and drive APQP readiness for new products and deliverables: MSA,
Inspection/Testing.

 Develop and submit Customer PPAP (Production Parts Approval Process)
documents if required for new product launches. 
 Determine when process stability and capability studies should be performed on
existing processes. Review and analyze results. Recommend changes to
processes based upon findings and perform follow up to verify effectiveness. 
 Coordinate pre-launch production trial run process monitoring. As well as
communication with, and transfer of knowledge to, the Production
Manufacturing/Quality Team. 
 Participate in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). 
 Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for
effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action through structured
problem-solving methodologies.
 Supports daily and weekly activities managing the facility’s quality systems.
 Other duties as assigned. 
 Predictable and reliable attendance. 
 
Position Qualifications
 Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical
Engineering 
 Minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing a certified quality
management system (e.g., TS 16949, ISO). 
 Exceptional mechanical aptitude (i.e., intuitive understanding of mechanical
processes) 
 Minimum of five (5) years of a proven track record of driving continuous quality
improvement in a manufacturing environment. 
 Experience in the automotive industry; Battery, Electronics, or Powertrain
manufacturing preferred. 
 Previous work experience in an organization that supplied large OEM’s. 
 Customer quality assurance experience. 
 Previous audit experience in IATF 16949.
 Certified Quality engineer with strong experience in hands on Problem solving in
multiple tools and configurations.
