We are seeking a skilled, highly motivated Network Engineer on site and part travel with proficiency in both wired and wireless technologies to join our growing IT Services team.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in designing, deploying, implementing, testing, and maintaining various network systems, with a focus on ensuring optimal performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, install, test, implement, and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, routers, WAPs, wireless controllers, and related network devices
• Update and maintain accurate, documentation of network systems and configurations
• Actively participate in post-installation activities, such as user training and support, to ensure successful adoption and utilization of wireless networks and control centers
• Conduct tests and monitor connectivity and network performance regularly
• Configure firewall rules, IPS monitoring, routing, and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
• Develop project plans for network implementation activities, leading in their execution
• Provide network support for wired/wireless systems, ensuring minimal downtime
• Troubleshoot LAN and WAN related communication and configuration problems as they arise
• Regularly review and audit network documentation, ensuring it remains up-to-date and relevant, reflecting changes in network infrastructure or new implementations
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in wireless networking to drive continuous improvement and innovation in network design and implementation
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience creating documentation, including network diagrams, installation guides, and troubleshooting procedures, to facilitate effective maintenance and support Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize, and plan work
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer (wired/wireless deployment & implementation)
• Strong knowledge of firewalls, switches, routers, access points, and other network devices
• Expertise in network infrastructure/protocols to implement wireless network solutions
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment with the capacity for continuous learning and adaptation
