GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Material Control Analyst provides assistance to the Site Manager to support
the plant with inventory and material control activities and is responsible for
providing support and resolution on all record integrity of supplier risk
management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assist as needed to investigate, analyze and resolve daily inventory record
issues
Documents all Inventory Adjustments in utilizing the Inventory adjustment
report
Performs all adjustments in RGL’s ERP and GM MGO ERP
Schedules, assists, and performs cycle counts monthly
Ensures all parts are cycle counted last 10 days of depletion
Review Inventory Variance reports and reconciles accordingly
Review Depletion Report daily
Monitors and schedules daily pick sheets to Operations via EDI or manual
releases
Communicate with GM Plants on part depletion, container loop, out bound
windows
Communicate with suppliers on inbound part schedules, ASN issues
Monitor inventory transactions at warehouse facilities to assess receiving,
storage, shipping, or inventory integrity
Monitor part contract effective and expiration dates and alert GM Operations as
required
Communicate all over shipments from suppliers to GM Operations and obtain
approval to receive or return material as directed by GM
Utilize MGO inquiry screens as applicable
Assist with annual physical inventory
Communicate unsatisfactory load reports with Suppliers and GM Operations
Upload case information in to RGL’s ERP and MGO as applicable
Participate in internal and external meetings when required
Perform other related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the MGO system
Strong technical competency
Strong communication skills while interacting with internal and external
customers
Ability to coordinate various activities simultaneously
Ability to work with minimal supervision
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma
College preferred; and/or three to five years of relevant experience in
automotive or manufacturing customer service, part control experience
required
