Job Duties:Core Responsibilities
1. Coachinga. Provide ongoing mentoring, coaching, and training to all leads and direct care staff
b. Complete debriefing on all incident reports
c. Coach staff on appropriate ways to write Incident Reports (IR)
d. In-Servicing Plans
e. Lead weekly Lead Trainings and monthly Staff Trainings
f. Create annual performance appraisals for every staff member
g. Oversee the daily duties and responsibilities of all staff in the home
h. Oversee the use of proper CPI physical management skills
i. Flexibility and commitment to work the hours and times required to perform the responsibilities of the job, including evenings and weekends as may be necessary
2. Documentation
a. Monitor and train daily documentation including but not limited to:
i. Shift notes, lead staff checklist, radio logs
ii. All IRs that happen in the home.It is the floor manager’s responsibility to ensure follow up has happened for each IR including debriefing
iii. Written coaching documentation.
3. Communication
a. Communicate with clinical team regarding resident’s progress, plans, and concerns
b. Maintain a positive, open relationship with all management
c. Utilize all communication tools including Microsoft Teams, text and phone, email, and Information Network (FIN)
d. Educate, train, and advocate for all residents’ rights
e. Communicate with guardians, case managers, and others who share responsibility for our residents
f. Responsible for ensuring residents arrive to their medical appointments on time
4. Discipline
a. Hold staff accountable for job responsibilities and duties
b. Ensure staff are following policies and procedures by ensuring:
i. Staff in uniform on the floorii. Staff utilizing radios while on shift
iii. Cleanliness
iv. Etiquette in all interactions
