Job description

Coremaking - Make sand cores used in molds to form holes or pockets in metal castings. Melting/Pouring - Operate induction and gas fired furnace. Operate transfer ladles containing molten metal to pour into prepared sand molds of various sizes and configurations. Prepare molds for pouring.
- Molding -Air set and green sand molding and assisting molders.

Cleaning Room -Operate band saws. abrasive cut off, torch, belt sander, snag grinder, swing frame grinder, angle grinder, and various hand tools.

Sand Blasting /Shot Blasting

Driving - Fork Truck and Bob Cat for various foundry functions. Delivery Truck for various deliveries.

Waters and mixes sand, shovels sand into flasks, and compacts sand in flasks, using ramming tool.

Fits together, clamps, and unclamps cope and drag on production line.

Weighs out specified amounts of materials for furnace charge, and loads charge into melting furnace.
